Looking for a friend. He has 1350 miles on his. He has burnt up multiple belts. Clutch has warped grooves on the inside where it looks almost melted. The first belt he burnt up was OEM and the next 2 were Gates Belts. He put on another gates, checked part number to be sure etc...He is pulling 8300-8350 RPM and feels like thats not right...
1. What are people pulling RPM's to on their stock machines?
2. What could've caused the warp/melt look on the inside?
3. Can the belt be on "backwards"? Do the numbers have to be facing you?
