So about 7-8 months ago I bought the holy-tool bearing greaser and finally got around to repacking my bearings.
245 miles on the car and I haven't driven it since December, but decided to knock it out.
After the first rear wheel, I had it down cold.... 15mm on the brake caliper, 27mm impact on the axle but (hit the impact 1x and that nut/cotter pin come right off)
These cars have NO grease to speak of on em. 245 miles, no water crossings, no mud, just dirt. looks like anti-seize on the splines, but other than that, they are dry dry dry as they can get.
I lgot 30+ pumps of Redline CV2 Synthetic in each wheel before I could see any of the old(black) stuff coming out.
So I'm glad I did it. The greaser tool takes a lot of the work out of it for sure.
