I was all set to pull the trigger on the Cagewrx race cage for my XP4T but the more I look at all of the options out there, the more confused I get. I love the whole fastback, rearward swept lines look but I feel like it's the most common and I don't want my rig to look like everyone else's. I like the look and usability of the roof rack/baskets but $1200-1500 for a tiny rack is insane, I didn't even pay that for a Frontrunner or Gobi on my Toyotas. I currently like the Cagewrx stuff, a few designs from UTVInc, and the Vent Racing offerings.
What do you guys look for in a cage, is it purely aesthetics, the quality of the bends and welds, a superior design, maybe a certain company in particular? Did you order it powder coated or did you get it raw and have it done locally? I fear a cage, no matter how well packaged, will certainly have damage to the finish in shipping/transit. I am also concerned that there won't be a powder coater locally that will have a oven large enough to do a cage. I want to get something moving here soon I just need to make a decision.
