Dynamix XP4 Turbo

What’s are the chances of seeing a 4 seat version of Dynamix model released this fall?

With Dynamix and standard Ride Command I think it’s a killer price. Likely be good with just throwing some Shock Therapy springs on and be good suspension wise.

Thoughts?

Suspension Feels Loose

I noticed after my last trail ride, my suspension is feeling pretty loose. It's knocking underneath and I can feel it through my steering wheel. Where is a good place to start looking for the slop? Bushings? Everything feels tight when I grab it by hand but it's definitely turning into a rattle trap when I'm driving it. The sway bars also make noise, probably the knocking I'm hearing, does anyone know how to quiet those down? Just curious if anyone has had any "a-ha" insights...

Method wheel color help!

Alright I need some honest opinions here. Bought the STI HD5 beadlocks they are garbage and had 5 bolts completely blow out on me in the middle of no where. Going to go with methods which I should have done from the get go.

So maybe some of you can chime in on what color they think looks good since can't make up my mind and it's driving me insane. I'm leaning toward bronze but don't want to regret putting frickin gold rims on a black and grey RZR but I've seen bronze look bada** on some black trucks so... Here's my car and pics of the rim colors. Any opinions good or bad are appreciated! Pics are good too!

Aftermarket stock height cage

Was wondering if anyone knew any companies that kept the stock front height and rear height cages so you can still run windhsields front and rear.

Seems like most lower them, I don't care about the middle section lowering more concerned with the front and rear.

Need some help on 16 vs 17

So we decided to take the leap and upgrade to a RZR XP Turbo 1000 4 seater with a bunch of accessories. I have a dealer that has a new 2017 with the accessories I want for 28,500 out the door including 5 year warranty and I have another dealer that has a used 2016 with the accessories I want for 22,000 out the door with 4.5 years left on warranty.

I did as much reading as I can and it seems the 17 was redesigned almost from the ground up with better cooling, suspension, drivetrain, and it is quieter than the 16. However saving $6500 is pretty good.

So I am hoping that people here with experience with both can weigh in on if I should save the cash and go for the 16 or if I should take the plunge and get the 17.

On craigslist in my area and at many dealers they have a lot of 16s with low mileage I was very surprised to see that many basically new machines for sale. I don't know if that means they were bad or if people just wanted to upgrade or possibly be selling impulse buys they cannot afford.

Thanks for your advice. I am test driving the 16 tomorrow and or I can pick up the 17 on Friday.

Hey my grill is gone!

Walking into the garage this morning I noted something looked rather odd. The grill is gone. I installed Ride C., and a stereo about 10 days ago, guess I did not snap it in all the way. Oh well...

Looking on Ebay this morning it seems there is some nice options for something a tad slicker. I am sure Assault is a good product. Any out there you have experience with that might look good, but are simply poorly made?

There was one with The Punisher that caught my eye.

Thanks

Cages

I was all set to pull the trigger on the Cagewrx race cage for my XP4T but the more I look at all of the options out there, the more confused I get. I love the whole fastback, rearward swept lines look but I feel like it's the most common and I don't want my rig to look like everyone else's. I like the look and usability of the roof rack/baskets but $1200-1500 for a tiny rack is insane, I didn't even pay that for a Frontrunner or Gobi on my Toyotas. I currently like the Cagewrx stuff, a few designs from UTVInc, and the Vent Racing offerings.

What do you guys look for in a cage, is it purely aesthetics, the quality of the bends and welds, a superior design, maybe a certain company in particular? Did you order it powder coated or did you get it raw and have it done locally? I fear a cage, no matter how well packaged, will certainly have damage to the finish in shipping/transit. I am also concerned that there won't be a powder coater locally that will have a oven large enough to do a cage. I want to get something moving here soon I just need to make a decision.

Need some questions answered please...

Hey all, been a long time since I've been on here and need some pointers from those that upgraded from a older ('14) 4 seater to a '17 4 seater turbo.

I was interested in swapping a lot of my stuff over to the new buggy. Here's a list of some of the more important items and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or opinions.

1) aftermarket cage, should bolt right up, no?

2) RCV axles, my understanding is only the rears will work, the fronts are different.

3) control arms? Can I swap my old ones over?

4) I'm assuming wheels, winch, seats, bumpers (I thought I read the rear was different)

5) Is the stock cage still junk or have they upgraded the thickness and design?

A few questions now...

1) I heard the heat was way worse on the 4 turbo. Any other suggestions other than insulating the inside of the tunnel? I was suggested that someone makes a radiator relocation kit, thoughts/opinions?

2) do I need to upgrade axles? (I'm planning on swapping my 32" roctanes)

3) do I need clutching with the turbo?

4) Though this particular question isn't specific to the turbo, has anyone tried a different skid plate other than the UHMW ones out? The last one I bought was a 2 piece that was like 1/2" that was heavy as hell. Anyone come out with a better idea/product in the last couple of years? I was thinking of trying aluminum (never did before since it'll gouge and won't slide as well as UHMW) but I'd like something different/better.

Thanks ya'll, sorry for so many questions

Mirror and the MB Quart Sound Bar

$

So I got the MB Quart sound bar but of course this means I cannot get a rear view mirror on. I have some side mirrors but mainly I use the rear view to see how far behind me the next guy in line is to make sure I haven't lost someone. The side views are ok for clearing skinny gates or backing on a trailer. However if I tilt them far enough back to see who is behind me I mostly see my left arm and fender.

Does anyone know of a good side view that can show what is behind me without 80% of the mirror being arm and machine?

Does anyone know of a center mount that can work with the MB Quart Sound Bar?

I might just have to upgrade to ride command and trade in my MB Quart. I really like knowing how close or far away the guy behind me is.

Lock & Ride Poly Sport Roof

Anyone else running the Lock & Ride Poly Sport roof on their '17 XP 4 turbo?

After two rides, the connection points for the metal "C" brackets that sit near the roll cage to keep the roof from flexing and coming off (I assume) were destroyed. See attached picture.

Unfortunately there was a lot of slack between the "C" bracket and the roll cage but it appeared that was by design.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar or did I just screw up the install?

I've now repaired this and made it much more stout but it's not good that it happened to begin with.

Thanks!

Late last year I bought a Sandcraft driveshaft and carrier bearing for my '14 XP 1000 4.

Will it fit on my '17 1000 4 turbo?

Trying to figure out how much crap I will lose this weekend.

Thanks,

Cable from battery to busbar... (Winch Install)

I started work to install my winch last night. After tearing out the seats, center consoles, etc., I found out my RZR already had the cable installed that ties the battery to the front busbar with the inline fuse.

Did I just get lucky or do all the '17 XP 4 Turbo models come with this cable pre-installed. Thanks!

Hi guys. New to the site. I have a 2017 rzr xp4. Of course fists ride out over a 4 day weekend and I throw the check engine light. It's error code 520344 with a 15 above it and a 1 below it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anchor/Exspansion bolts

So while installing my new rock sliders one of the anchor bolts did not seat right and basically stripped out. The rock slider is on but at that bolt it is wobbly and will not go down any further. After looking into it I found it is part number 2205287 however it is the entire kit for 70 bucks and is out of stock.

I scoured the net but was unable to find anyone who sells these individually and the local dealers I called told me the same thing I had to buy the entire kit.

Is anyone aware of someone who sells these individually?

Wondering if it's possible to upgrade my '17 XP4 turbo suspension to the new '18 Dynamix suspension.

I seems likely that this should be possible but at what cost?

Gear selection

This is prolly a newb question- When I select the gear I want to be in, I step on the brake, go into the gear I am searching for, then feather the throttle for just second as it does not immediately engage. I let it "catch", then I go on about my way. I have assumed this is normal, but wanting to make sure in the event its not and I have a tranny issue.

Adapter plate for stock gated shifter

$

I've developed an adapter plate that allows you to use components from a '17 Gold Trail and Rock edition and have a factory looking gated shifter. Fits 2015 and newer 900 and 1000 models including Turbo. I've updated my kits to include a spring for tension to keep the shifter aligned with the R_N_L_H slot. Price includes shipping to lower 48.
Bracket kit: includes bracket and all hardware, $50
Complete kit: includes bracket kit and all the Polaris parts to have a working gated shifter, $135
There's more info on this in the general section on a thread with the same name.

If interested shoot me an email or PM. Describe which kit you want and include an address for USPS. I will email a paypal invoice to you. You can also send money through paypal using the email in my signature. Be sure to include the same info.
Thanks, Carl
