2015 1000 XP 4 RPM's??

Looking for a friend. He has 1350 miles on his. He has burnt up multiple belts. Clutch has warped grooves on the inside where it looks almost melted. The first belt he burnt up was OEM and the next 2 were Gates Belts. He put on another gates, checked part number to be sure etc...He is pulling 8300-8350 RPM and feels like thats not right...

1. What are people pulling RPM's to on their stock machines?

2. What could've caused the warp/melt look on the inside?

3. Can the belt be on "backwards"? Do the numbers have to be facing you?

***Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

so I got this one in the mail last week for the Turbo ECU, called the dealer, he didn't know much about it yet. I looked on the forum and didnt see any info on this one.


MINNEAPOLIS, MN (July 25, 2016) – Polaris Industries (NYSE: PII) is issuing a stop-ride/stop-sale advisory, pending a formal recall, for MY2016 RZR Turbo off-road vehicles, due to a potential fire hazard.

Polaris is currently evaluating a comprehensive repair solution. Once validated, repair instructions will be issued to Polaris dealers and vehicle owners will be notified that they can contact their dealer about scheduling a free repair. Until then, owners should not ride, and dealers should not sell, MY2016 RZR Turbo models.

All owners of affected vehicles are being contacted directly. In addition, updates will be posted on the RZR Recall page: RZR Recall FAQs - Polaris.

Bought New Feb 27th
Same day Rode Coos bay dunes for 3 hours, Power steering quit working...Turned out it blew the fuse.
Few weeks later went riding for a day, blew fuse again and started overheating, inspected clutches and primary was looking pretty torn up

Took into Dealer....211 miles on Xp4Turbo
Couldn't find anything wrong with power steering, clutch had normal wear and they put me on the list for the Fan service advisory repair and ecu reflash. Took over a month to get back.

Fathers day...
Went riding, Overheating seems to be fixed
Blew power steering fuse 5 miles into day, replaced the fuse.
25 miles into the day...Belt exploded into 100 pieces and primary clutch had extremely deep groves. Limped it back to camp with next no belt left. seriously it was down to threads

Took it back to dealer Same day...didn't even return to home first.
After a week polaris agrees to warranty the Belt and Primary...
Still can't duplicate power steering issue...
Took over a month to get the parts that were on backorder.

The day before I'm supposed to pick up my RZR polaris announces stop ride...

Pick up my machine and drive back home in trailer....

Contact polaris via social media and after a few days they agree to extend my warranty by 6 months...First good news I have had....

Today, take out RZR of trailer and install windshield and doors.

Notice OIL on my trailer floor,

Inspect front diff,

Its leaking oil out of Both Sides....

Call dealer and take back to dealer today...

Waiting for Polaris's response-- the dealer is going to "look" at it on Tuesday...


All in all, I have been on 3 rides, have 266 miles on my machine. Have made 3 trips to the dealer and have spent close to $26,000 on a paperweight.
Plus my time and diesel taking to dealer.

Yeah its great polaris has extended my warranty and I was happy about that at the beginning of this week and was excited for things to turn around with this RZR, but now I'm at a loss for words. I should have just kept my K&T built Turbo 900....At least It ran...

My dealer seems willing to help but at the same time, it takes them a few days to look at it, 7-10 business days to get parts they say, which usually turns into almost a month due to backordered parts.
I have owned it for just over 5 months, it was at the dealer for over 2 months in total.

I know there is a stop ride on it now but I just want it at home to be able to tinker with it and add the accessories I have purchased. Pretty upset at the whole situation.
Right about now I wish polaris would just buy it back from me...Seriously has just been a time consuming let down to me and the family.

Well I took the plunge today and bought a 2016 turbo xp4. It has 400 miles on it. I'm really liking the ride so far I had a 1000 2 seater and this ride on the 4 seater kills it.

Does anyone besides glazzkraft make a dash for the rzr/turbos?
Hopefully there's some more options out there?

Looking to be somewhat unique with my new turbo build. Easier said than done. Running out of ideas... Seems like every "built" rzr is starting to look the same to me.

Maybe I should start the thread "if you had $xx,xxx to build a rzr turbo what would you do?"

Idling Up and Down/No Power

We have a 2016 XP4 Turbo that is having an issue. It idles up and down and when you step on the gas it has no power. We turned it off and turned it back again and let the accessory power run out and started it back up and it ran fine. So we are thinking an electrical issue. This machine has 2 batteries on it and gets plugged in every night.

Has ran fine sense brand new but just started randomly doing this.

Just wondering if any body has experienced the same issue or might have an idea on what to check?

Hey guys I have been reading a lot of the threads before I posted this to see if it was addressed anywhere else but have not come across it. I have been dealing with what everyone else has been dealing with...heat.

I started with the Polaris fan upgrade and Polaris reflash also a Reflex fan kit. This brought my temps down in-between 188 and 206, has not peaked above 206 yet, which is a lot better.

My next step is to contact TCP for a custom tripple pass radiator and intercooler. I am hoping they will be able to accommodate this in the small space we have to work with.

I am also replacing my ECU with an EVO upgrade to kick the fan on even sooner.

This brings me to my question, exhaust, I know how turbos work and the heat coming off the turbo is to say the least VERY hot. However I get so hot my entire exhaust is glowing from the turbo all the way to and including the exhaust pipe.

The complete EVO exhaust comes with a cat on the header pipe, however the Sparks header pipe is without a cat. Would an exhaust without the cat provide a more free flowing exhaust, allowing the heat from the turbo to dissipate better. Or is the EVO full exhaust enough to provide some dissipation of heat from the turbo?

Trying to find an audio source for my rzr 4 turbo that I cant ride, has anyone installed the MB quart extreme audio pods? just want to know how they sound and if they are worth the money. and if you can hook up any other speakers or subs to them.

I did the stage 3 shock therapy upgrade, now focused on the engine. What are the best mods to get the most bang for the buck? Not wanting to do anything that significantly hurts reliability, which has been great so far.

Hey Guys & Gals,

I won the UTV Family XPT 4 a couple of weeks ago and recently had it delivered to my house here in WA. Being that I am never happy with anything I have and always need to add a personal touch I'm looking for some help with this one.

First things first: Stereo it has a Kicker 2 speaker system installed by Duner Tunes, Front pods with Bluetooth. I am looking for some tower speakers that have some decent bass to them but sound crystal clear and are loud. I went with a MTX Sub in my 900 and I am far from impressed with the bass, being that it is an open air environment I am thinking some decent bass within a tower enclosed speaker would be fine.

Doors: It has some no brand doors as far as I know that I may be looking to sell as I am really wanting the TMW doors. Any reviews from people on those here...Also anyone interested in the ones in the pictures, they are very nice I just want some solid rear doors without the corner cutout.

Windshield: It has a Sinister Fabrication cage, looking for a hald windshield or full that will work.

Winch: I have a WARN 4000 on my 900 and have never had to use it so im thinking of going cheap on this one, what do you recommend for a 4 seater??

Lights: Need some rock lights and Dome lights to match advice?

Wheels and Tires: Loving the Method/Tensor combo, want some advice from real world experience. I live in the PNW lots of woods riding, hardpack, rocks, snow etc. What offset as well as size either 30 or 32 and 14 or 15? I dont want to do any clutching mods..

Wraps: Any companies you guys recommend and is it something I can do myself?? I have done wraps before but what have you guys done??

Exhaust: Looking for the best deep sounding muffler exhaust, not looking to change up my stage 1 tune from hardcore tuning...

I think that about covers my winter project ideas to keep me busy as the rain is falling up here in Seattle. I look forward to hearing the arguments from you guys about what is best...

Has anyone tried this. We will be running mostly dunes. Getting a custom exhaust made and just trying to figure out what's best. Also can the expansion chamber and o2 sensor be removed in the new exhaust.

Xpt Shocks leaking oil from nitrogen fill valve

So after sitting in the garage for a month straight due to the current recall I just noticed today that two of my shocks are leaking small amounts of oil out of the remote reservoir nitrogen fill valve. Has anyone else noticed leakage out of this valve or have any hints as to what would cause this valve to leak oil? Any help would be appreciated I have 600 miles on the xpt4 and was hoping to get a little more out of these shocks before a rebuild and revalve. Thanks

I have the total vision dvr back up camera from Polaris. I don't know if anyone out there has one, but this thing is a pain. Some times it work and then doesn't.
last night the dam thing stayed on even tho it is supposed to turn off with the key

Every time we turn the darn thing on its video recording and I have to stop the video.

Any one else have issues with there camera. I think i definitely have a defective one.
